The Village of East Alton will conduct a “Village Spring Cleanup” the week of April 22-26!

On Monday, April 22nd, residents may put out bulk items and general rubbish and junk not suitable for regular garbage pick-up. Items not allowed: electronics, tires, shingles, car parts, concrete, hazardous materials such as oil, paint, asbestos, etc.

ITEMS WILL NEED TO BE COMPLETELY SET OUT BY MONDAY, APRIL 22ND. The Street and Trash Departments will be picking up clean-up items all throughout the week at different times (some items may be taken on Monday, and some left until the end of the week – but it ALL must be set out by Monday to be picked up).

In order to take advantage of the Village Spring Cleanup, all items must be placed in the area of your regular trash pick-up by 6:00am by Monday, April 22nd.

IF YOUR TRASH BILL IS NOT UP TO DATE, YOUR ITEMS WILL NOT BE PICKED UP FOR SPRING CLEANUP WEEK & YOU MAY RECEIVE A FINE FROM ZONING IF ITEMS ARE SET OUT. PLEASE PAY PAST DUE TRASH BILLS TO ENSURE YOUR ITEMS ARE PICKED UP FOR SPRING CLEAN-UP!

For NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE (East Alton Village residents only), the Village Drop-Off Center will also be open Monday, April 22nd through Friday, April 26th from 7am – 3pm and Saturday, April 27th from 8am – 12pm. Proof of residency is required (including, but not limited to, a valid and current Driver’s License/State ID Card, utility bill, or occupancy permit).
