Superintendent of Parks & Recreation
The Village of East Alton, Illinois is seeking a dynamic professional to lead its Park and Recreation Department. The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the entire Park and Recreation staff, programs and facilities. This is a hands-on position that requires close involvement with programs and activities. The Superintendent responsibilities include: overseeing and working within the annual operating budget, training of full time and part time employees, grant writing, and attending required meetings. Salary range is $50,000 - $63,500 commensurate with qualifications.
Qualifications: The successful candidate shall have a bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation or a related field. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in parks and recreation supervision.
