Our mission is to serve and protect the citizens of East Alton and those who we encounter.  We do this by exhibiting pride of who and what we are; honor of the profession we chose and were appointed to; and never forgetting our duty in increase the security of persons and property and to enhance our community's  peace of mind by our presence, intervention and investigation at all times under all conditions.

We shall constantly strive to improve upon our profession and ourselves, because:

• We are the ones the public calls when there is nowhere else to turn.

• We are the ones who will listen when needed.
